New Sock Yarn!
I've decided that it's okay to "collect" Socks That Rock Yarn (and probably sock yarn in general). I just love the colors and feel compelled to have more! I know I will knit all of them eventually!
This is STR Hard Rock.
I became enamored of it when Cara of the Enormous Jaywalker Knitalong fame
did a pair of jaywalkers in this yarn.
I like the way the shades from light to dark pink contrast with the grays and blacks to form stripes. I do plan to make Jaywalkers with this.
Below is STR Waterlilies. I saw a picture of this on the email group Townsend Sock Knitalong. In the picture the orange wasn't very visible and I thought it was so beautiful. I'm not a big fan of orange so when discovered to have more than I thought I wasn't supper pleased but I still really like this yarn. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with it, I think something simple.
This is STR Lagoon. Megan ordered this but she was not too in love with this so I talked her out of it. She said she wouldn't have bought it if she would have seen it in person. Hope she really didn't want it and wasn't just being nice because I really do love it! It was nice to see Megan's adaptation of Jaywalker into a poncho!

Niiice! I love STR... I like the way your hard rocks looks, I hadn't paid too much attention to that color before, but it looks great.
If you're really not pleased with the orange in the waterlilies, perhaps you'd want to swap for some other sock yarn? :) I've got some lorna's (sock and sport), shelridge farms, lisa souza, fleece artist... ::grin::
Have fun!! :)
Absolutely there's nothing wrong at all with collecting STR yarn. It's gorgeous stuff, great colours and just lovely to knit with. Collect away! Just keep posting pics.
I really didn't like the lagoon!!! And I'll be able to get something better at the end of the month. I'm truly grateful you took it off my hands!
